About the Breast Implant Follow-up Study (BIFS)

BIFS is an important research study. As a participant in BIFS, you agree to complete a questionnaire once a year. By fulfilling that commitment, you and the other 2,700 women who are a part of the BIFS community are contributing to the health and safety of all women with breast implants.

Allergan® is committed to doing everything possible to ensure that participants are kept informed about and engaged with the Breast Implant Follow-up Study. This includes providing reminder tools and services to help make your participation as seamless as possible, giving you access to various website resources and medical information related to your breast implants, and providing compensation for your yearly participation.

Educate You About Breast Implant Health
BIFS will provide access to helpful information about the BIFS study and educational content to keep you informed about breast implant health.
Provide Annual Questionnaire Reminders
BIFS will contact you via a combination of email, mail, text messages, and/or telephone to remind you when it’s time to complete your Annual Questionnaire.
Keep You Informed of Study Updates
BIFS will inform you when any new information about the study becomes available, and keep you updated about what BIFS have learned from the study data.
Provide Compensation
BIFS will compensate you $100 for enrolling or reconsenting, $275 for answering the Baseline Questionnaire, and $275 for completing each Annual Questionnaire.
